Lucozade: Happy Holiyayyy" Sampling Campaign

Our brief was to raise awareness around the brand new Lucozade offer and to generate a buzz around the Lucozade Energy ‘Happy Holiyaayyy’ campaign in ASDA shopping stores throughout the UK.

We created a sampling campaign centred around high footfall locations in shopping areas. The campaign was tailored to ensure impact, high footfall and guaranteed target market demographic. Brand ambassadors operated outside and also walked throughout the store with samples to maximise the campaign reach.

A branded VW Campervan was used as the perfect way to instantly grab the attention of customers. Using the brand new bold Lucozade branding allowed us to amplify their campaign message, putting the brand straight in the face of the consumer and letting customer know about the Lucozade offer and competition.

To entice customers to purchase the Lucozade 6 pack in store, we set up a competition. For every 6 pack purchase the customer would be entered into a lucky dip competition. Customers could win anything from branded frisbees and beach balls to Amazon and ASDA shopping vouchers.

The feedback from the general public was amazing:

‘What a great way to let people know about the promotion in store!‘

‘We have one of these campers which we are using for our holiday this year, but it’s not as bright as yours! We’ll be sure to buy some Lucozade for our adventures!‘

We maximised awareness amongst consumers by having each brand ambassador wear fully branded Lucozade uniforms when handing out samples.
